LeAnn Kymes and Krauss, were among the earliest Grammy Award-winners. Alison Maria Krauss - born on the 23rd of July 1971 is a popular American country and bluegrass singer. She entered the music industry at an early age having won local competitions at the age of 10 before recording her first album when she was 14 years old. She signed to Rounder Records, her first album debuted in 1987. She was also invited to the band Alison Krauss Union Station where she is still performing. Then, in 1989 her first solo album debuted in conjunction with the band.
