Kari Samantha (born on April 28 in 1967) Wuhrer is a famous American actor and singer. Wuhrer began her career as a teenager. She is recognized for her role as Maggie Beckett in the television show Sliders and as the Sheriff Samantha Parker in the horror comedy film Eight Legged Freaks.Wuhrer was born in Brookfield, Connecticut, the daughter of Karin (nee Noble), a payroll accountant, and German American Andrew Wuhrer, an officer in the police force and a auto salesman. She has 3 siblings. As a teenager She performed in nightclubs, sneaking out of the family home to perform. From the Wooster School at the age of 13 and began to study acting. Later, she attended the Tisch School of the Arts of New York University, Marymount Manhattan College located at Columbia University and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London, under the famous instructor Uta Hagen. Wuhrer was a student. She is a Brookfield native born in Brookfield Connecticut, on the 28th day of April, 1967. She is the daughter of a German-American father as well as a mother from Germany. Kari was born into a family with four children. Kari performed in nightclubs while she was in her teens. Her habit was to sneak away at night to sing and entertain her friends. Kari, who was then 13 years old studied at the Wooster School as well as Tisch School of the Arts of New York University. She took drama classes at Columbia University, Marymount Manhattan College, Marymount Manhattan College college, and also at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art where she had a teacher known as Uta. Kari began acting when she was aged a teenager. Her first break on television was 1987 on MTV's Remote Control.
