Chaka Khan
Chaka also known as Queen of Funk as she is also called is an American record producer. She has won of ten Grammys over her entire career, which spans over 50 years. Billboard Magazine ranked her at the 65th spot as the best dancer in the world. The grandmother who introduced her to jazz when she was young. In the early years of her career, she performed with various bands. In the end, she was a part of the group Rufus. She released her first album with the band at the age of twenty. One year later the group was awarded the first Grammy. Few years later, she recorded her first album as an artist on her own. The following years, she released other albums, including "Echoes from an Era", "The Woman I am" and one track called "Funk This". Alongside her music contribution, her charity work has earned her plenty of recognition. Chaka Khan Foundation was established to help children from poor families as well as those who have autism. Khan has also worked as an actress on occasion. Khan played Carrie in the musical. Carrie on stage in musical "Mama, I Want to Sing.'
